That’s one of the worst ideas I’ve ever seen. Js.
Actually no that makes sense, just it's the wrong way round. If I really am t h i c#5443, if I was online and asked by staff to click a topic link which would get my IP, it would match the one of myself when I access it. If it isn't me, then there is no way they can click the link and it log my IP without them actually being me, thus proving it's someone else. T h i c#5443 can't actually prove they are me because they don't have the same IP nor will they be able to. That basically trump's the evidence of an unknown user saying "I'm (name)" in a DM to someone and it being accepted as solid evidence that can result in a ban.
Bump!
To explain this better, whoever is being that discord is trying to prove they are me. If someone talks to t h i c#5433 and asks a personal question such as what city I live in, if they cannot answer correctly, it is proven they are trying to impersonate me. If they answer correctly, then we can ask more questions such as what's the name of my first pet which they will be unable to answer. I am still requesting all evidence to be forwarded to prove both bans as nothing has been shown other than "it's confidential" or "staff has decided".
